Obituary of Carl David Brockman

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Carl David Brockman of Red Deer, Alberta, announce his sudden passing at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on October 24, 2024 at the age of 69 years.

 

Carl was born on August 8, 1955.  After his father Fritz passed away when Carl was sixteen, he left home and went to work on the railroad in B.C.

 

Carl married Lori and together they had three children, David, Randy (Jessi), Richelle (Nick). Carl started working for Northwestern Utilities (now called Atco Gas) and enjoyed his work,  always making sure that everything was perfect.

 

Carl trained to be a scuba driver. He was an excellent bowler and went to the Canadian Championship. He loved golfing and was a great golfer. Whenever he could, Carl also enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors.

 

Carl found sobriety in 1986. This was something that he was very proud of. In 1995, Carl married Barb and they had a wonderful life together.

 

Carl is survived by his wife Barb; sons David, Randy (Jessi); daughter Richelle (Nick); step-sons Bill, Bernie (Shirlene), Jonas (Dixie); thirteen grandchildren: Rin, Sara, Ellie, Ashlyn, Jameson, Magnus, Braden, Michaela, Jackson, Cole, Cory, Kenzie and Zadie; mother Mavis; sister Marg (Gerry) and brothers Don, and Alvin (Val).

 

Carl was predeceased by his infant son Michael, and his father Fritz.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Bentley Community Church, 4824 – 50 St, Bentley AB on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
