Obituary of Jolene Oliver / Emily Tuck / Aaron Tuck
Tuck/Oliver
On April 19, 2020, two families and a community suffered the sudden and tragic loss of Aaron Todd Tuck, age 45 years; his wife Jolene Lori Oliver, age 39 years and their daughter Emily Mae Tuck, age 17 years.
AARON TODD TUCK
Aaron was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Aaron lived his life devoted to his wife and daughter. He enjoyed get togethers with family and friends around a good fire, listening to his records, and staying connected to friends....with a few drinks.
Aaron was known as a crafty individual with a big heart and he was very mechanically inclined. He loved and was known in communities for restoring cars and was also experienced in leather work. Aaron is survived by numerous family members and friends in Alberta and Nova Scotia. He was predeceased by his father Bruce Tuck and mother Gloria Mae as well as Angus Rogers.
JOLENE LORI OLIVER
Jolene was born in Calgary, Alberta. Jolene lived her life centered around her family. She often organized gatherings and was always one to reach out and stay connected with her family members and friends across Canada. Jolene served as a career waitress and loved connecting with people in the community. She enjoyed writing poetry, was an avid bird watcher and had a passion for nature. Jolene enjoyed every aspect of life and was able to see the positive in every situation. Jolene is survived by parents John and Bonnie Oliver; sisters Crystal (Warren) Mendiuk and their children Josh and Sara; Tammy Oliver-McCurdie (Ken McCurdie) and their children Richard, Justin and Sydney as well as numerous other family members and friends.
EMILY MAE TUCK
Emily was born in Calgary, Alberta. She was a wonderful blend of both her parents but had her own uniqueness as well. Emily was brave, strong, and outspoken. Emily will always be remembered for her kind heartedness, her sense of humor and her selflessness. She enjoyed playing her fiddle (“never call it a violin”), creating art and writing poetry. Emily spent a great deal of time in the garage with her dad where she learned about mechanics and often helped him with his projects. She had a talent for and enjoyed working in construction and wanted to apprentice as a welder. Emily was a bright light to her family and to those who had the pleasure of crossing paths with her. Emily was loved by all who knew her and will be remembered by many extended family and friends across Canada.
As an Alberta / Nova Scotian family, Aaron, Jolene and Emily spent their early years in Calgary, Alberta and their later years in Nova Scotia. Their hearts, love and caring where always with their families and friends in both provinces. Being a family together, living life together, sharing in life’s adventures together and sharing in the happiness, the many smiles and the challenges of life, to Aaron, Jolene and Emily, this was so important. Sadly, and tragically, they passed away together. Their memories will remain etched in the hearts of their families and friends forever!
