Obituary of Daniel Simeon James Rumbolt
Daniel “Danny” Simeon James Rumbolt passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on August 23, 2024 at the age of 45 years. Danny was born on June 17, 1979 in Bonavista Cottage Hospital, in Bonavista, Newfoundland. Danny grew up in Port Union until the age of 6, then lived in Catalina until he was 18, and then moved to Ontario to work on a sod farm in the summers, and moved home during the winter. In 2001, his daughter Cassidy was born, who he loved so deeply and was so very proud of. In 2006 he moved to Alberta to help his sister Maxine and to find work, and shortly after, he met the love of his life, Lisa. His pride and joy for the last 18 years was his beagle Molly, and his newfound family. Danny ALWAYS dedicated his time to working hard to provide for his family. Danny enjoyed working as a heavy equipment operator, with his beautiful Niece Catie by his side; learning everything he knew. Danny enjoyed leaving the city behind, and finding himself immersed in camping and fishing, making sure to teach his oldest granddaughter Eden how to fish as well.
Danny will be missed DEARLY by a very large community of family and friends. Danny is lovingly remembered by his spouse, Lisa Rumbolt; three daughters, Cassidy Spurrell, Kaitlin (Matt) Meier-Firth, and Jenessa (Keenan) Meier; four granddaughters, Eden, Hannah, Elise, and Noah; mother Patsy (Brian) Cheater; father Wilfred James “Jim” (Marilyn) Rumbolt; four sisters Maxine (Edward) Haynes, April Rumbolt, Lacey (Danny) Cullimore, and Stacey Cheater; nieces, Caitlin (Sam) Rumbolt, Hailey Rumbolt, Layla & Hailey Cullimore; and by his nephews, Logan and Owen Rumbolt.
