Obituary of Mary Dent
Mary Dent of Red Deer passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on June 22, 2024, at the age of 95 years.
Mary was born August 6, 1928, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was employed by Manitoba Telephone until the time of her retirement. She cared for her parents until their passing. Mary was an independent, adventurous career woman always ready to take on new challenges. She joined St. Matthew’s Anglican Church in 1954, and was a very active member until her move to Alberta in 2014. She then joined St. Luke’s Anglican Church. Mary took great pleasure in her many nieces and nephews and their families. Camping and fishing were her favourite activities. She enjoyed living at the Three Robins apartment block and all the friends she made there. She especially enjoyed her “swim” buddies and all the mischief they could get into.
Mary is lovingly remembered by her nephews, Barry (Joan) Coombes, Daryl (Jacquie) Dracass; nieces Linda (Glenn) Dracass, Jean (Terry) Botterill, Deirdre Lobb; and also by her many great and great great nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service for Mary will be held at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, located at 4929 54 Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. A memorial service will also be held at a later date at the Three Robins.
