Obituary of Leon Haslam
Leonda “Leon” James Haslam of Red Deer passed away at the Red Deer Hospice on February 4, 2024, at the age of 64.
Leon was a social person and a loving man. His smile and wave was his way to bring everyone to his world. Leon loved the wilderness and all it contained. He loved to talk about the animals, and they loved him. He was known for having wild animals come right up to visit him.
Leon worked as a top mechanic for years. Never judging anyone. He would say “people were just people.” His best buddy was his dad. They both had many stories to share. Beer and smoking were his hobbies, right to the end. His humor and love will be missed, he is in our hearts forever.
Leon will be lovingly remembered by his fiance, Joy Webb; father, Monty Haslam; other family members, Ray, Gary, Linda, and Debbie, as well as other dear family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to your choice of wildlife or conservation charities. Condolences to Leon’s family may be emailed to meaningful@telus.net. Please indicate “Haslam” in the subject line.
