Obituary of Sharon Lou Edwards
Sharon Lou Edwards (Raymond) passed away December 7, 2023 in Red Deer, Alberta joining her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the age of 72. Sharon was born on May 16, 1951 in Peace River Alberta, to her late parents Ernest and Teckla Raymond. Being the youngest sibling, she cherished her role as a sister to Marlene, Marvin, Orval, Belva, Terry, Verna, and Odell.
Sharon loved whole heartedly, you didn’t need to be family to be part of her family. All were welcome in her home and at her table. She had numerous people that either called her mom or claimed her as their second mom. Sharon loved to keep busy cooking and baking with her children and then grandchildren. Late summers always consisted of picking berries and making pies and jam. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and many other crafts. She blessed her grandchildren with special memories during their walks to the river, and outings together.
Sharon will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 46 years, Gordon and their two sons Ryan (Amanda) and Dean (Melissa). She will be dearly missed by her six grandchildren Burke, Archer, Carsten, Cade, Everett, and Sadie; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Sharon will be deeply missed by all who knew her and love her. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts she touched throughout her life. Sharon had a passion for mentoring children and young adults and spent many years leading youth groups and volunteering her time at summer camps.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Sharon’s life will be held at Living Stones Church, 2020 – 40th Ave, Red Deer AB on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 1:00 pm, all are welcome to attend. Refreshments and a time of fellowship will follow.
