Obituary of Irene Fay Rhoades
Irene Fay Rhoades of High Level, Alberta, passed away at the Red Deer Hospital on December 4, 2023, at the age of 84.
Fay was born in Springsure, Australia, September 22, 1939. It was in Springsure where she met her future husband and later married on December 31, 1959. Fay moved to Canada on January 1st, 1963, and became a housewife, raising 5 children on a farm east of High Level. Fay loved gardening, traveling, and doing puzzles. Later in life, she enjoyed volunteering at the Seniors Citizens place and socializing with everyone.
Fay will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Matthew Rhoades and Kelvin Rhoades; daughters, Donna Juneau, Gail Ingles, and Lori Wigstow; as well as by her 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Doug, and sisters, Ida, Nelly, Margret, and Alice.
