Obituary of Oliver Theodore Strasdin
Oliver Theodore Strasdin of Red Deer, Alberta passed away at the Red Deer Hospice on February 13, 2020 at the age of 72 years.
Oliver was born in Dauphin, Manitoba, in February 1947. He was raised in Dauphin and spent most of his life there before moving to Alberta. His education was limited but he loved working on the farm. He also enjoyed working with wood. He loved spending time with his grandkids, and finding little treasures to give his family.
Oliver is lovingly remembered by sons Steven Anderson, Darren (Danielle) Strasdin and Jared (Sabrina) Strasdin, stepdaughter Teresa Douglas, and eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Arnold and Bertha Strasdin, wife Irene Strasdin and sister Paulette Anderson.
A memorial service will be held in Westlock, Alberta on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 3 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Red Deer Hospice Society, 99 Arnot Avenue, Red Deer AB, T4R 3S6. Oliver's family would like to thank the staff at Red Deer Hospice for their care and kindness in his last days.
