Obituary of Mary Theresa Wenger
Mary Theresa Wenger of Red Deer, passed away at the Red Deer Hospital on August 12, 2022, at the age of 91 years. Mary was born on March 31, 1931 in Thorhild (Abee), Alberta, the oldest of five siblings, to Joseph and Elizabeth Krebes.
Mary grew up in the Radway area, where she completed her grade 10 education, and met her future husband, John. They moved their young family, from the farm near Radway to Swan Hills, and then to Red Deer. Mary’s career had her working many different jobs, but finished her working days at Michener Center for Versa Laundry.
Mary is survived by her children; Linda (Clint), Ken (Shelley), Darrell (Terry), Dwayne (Joanne), twelve grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren; sisters Francis (Norman deceased), Margaret (Marion deceased); brother Eddie (Helen). Mary is predeceased by her parents and sister Rosie. Mary will be lovingly remembered by; her husband John (deceased); three sons Ken, Darrell, and Dwayne; one daughter Linda; twelve grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren; brother Eddie; and two sisters Francis, and Margaret.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Mary’s life will be held at Deer Park Alliance Church, 2960 – 39 St., Red Deer AB on Monday, August 29, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.. Internment will follow at Alto Reste Cemetery in Red Deer.
