It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Katherine Jean Bennett on January 7, 2020 at the age of 89. Jean was born Nov. 5, 1930 in Nevis, Alberta. She lived on a farm southeast of Alix until she married Clifford in 1948. They lived in Mirror and raised their five children. Jean leaves to mourn her five children: Cheryl (Mike) Carr, Dwayne (Laura) Bennett, Margaret (Ted) King, Darwin (Sara) Bennett, Marilyn Tribe and her brother Bob Sanderson. Jean has 10 grandchildren: Tammy, Kris, Kari, Chad, Becki, Amber, Derek, Breanne, Josee, Desiree, and 18 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Clifford in 1978. A Graveside Memorial will be held in the spring with Jean’s family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Central Alberta Cancer Centre, PO Bag 5030, Red Deer AB, T4N 4E3.
