Obituary of Clifford Elmer Baird
It is with the most profound sadness that the family of Clifford Elmer Baird announce his sudden passing on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at 78 years of age.
Dad, a.k.a. Papa, Cliffy, The Old Guy, Big Guy, and Cadillac Man leaves behind his loving wife of 57 years, DeVerle; sons Trent (Tracee), Dean (Alana), a “son,” the neighbourhood kid that showed up 40 years ago and never left, Darrin (Brenda); his loving grandchildren Brianna, Madison (Jesse), Danielle (Jordan), Josh, Jordan, Devon, as well as a great number of other family and friends whom he loved and cherished.
Cliff lived a full life, never letting any obstacle get in the road of achieving his many accomplishments. He was a teacher, mentor and great man who will be missed immensely and remembered by all whose lives he touched.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Riverbend Lutheran Church, 495 – Rhatigan Road NW, Edmonton, AB. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The Terry Fox Foundation or Autism Edmonton (www.autismedmonton.org).
