Obituary of Sharon Marie Gibbings
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our sister, Sharon Marie Gibbings, on April 24, 2021 at the Red Deer Hospice Society.
Sharon was born in Sarnia, Ontario in January 1961. Sharon was the youngest of five siblings, brothers Larry, Leonard, Doug and Laverne, and sister Barb Hubbard. She has many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a mother-in-law, Mary Gibbings, and her family.
Sharon moved from Ontario to Alberta to work in the oil industry. She has many great friends and coworkers. Red Deer, Alberta was home to her.
Sharon is predeceased by her parents, Dorothy and Manford Thompson of Clinton, Ontario, and by her dear son, Joshua Allan Warren Gibbings. Her greatest joys in life were her son Josh, her family, her dog Rocko, golfing and working with her friends.
The family would like to thank Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre Palliative Care and the Red Deer Hospice Society. Also many thanks and appreciation to Sharon's dedicated friend Thersa. To Darren, Stan and other close friends, thanks for your support and assistance.
As per Sharon's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private memorial will be held at a later date.
