Obituary of Leo Joseph Frenette
Leo Joseph Frenette passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a courageous battle with pneumonia. Leo’s working life started in the Alberta oil patch with Dresser Atlas, taking a transfer to Russia, Siberia, China, and offshore of Scotland. He prided himself with being fluent in French, Spanish and Russian. Leo discovered his favorite place on earth was Cuba. With his love for the culture, and having met the friendliest, kindest people, it was his dream was to retire there. Leo loved enjoyed his computer, keeping in touch with world politics, elections, pipelines and oil prices and he loved to “dabble” in the stock market. Leo was very proud of his family and appreciated that they were able to visit on “Whats App”. Leo is survived by his daughters Lisa (Paul); grandsons Reese and Luke, Tammy (Ryan); grandson Cash; son Trevor and their mother Connie; sisters Sylvia (Ray), Joanne (Brian), Suzanne; brother Paul (Janyce) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is also survived by a very special person Oxeli and her husband Andres, their children Stephanie and Issac as well as Oxeli’s parents Caridad and Eusebio. He was predeceased by his sister Lucy (Dave); brothers Art (Olive), Rene, Larry, Earl (Sandra), Tom (Bonnie) and parents Maurice and Bertha Frenette. Leo will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his children, family and friends.
